WHEN AND HOW TO GO

Excursionist frequents the place all year round so the place is actually not that quiet and peaceful. But during the rainy season, there are days that you may have a chance to have the place on your own. Be prepared though that water level sometimes reaches to alarming proportions when the rain is really hard. In fact one time we camped there during the last week of December, the waterfalls more than doubled it’s actual size causing the basin to overflow; Its a very nice place for those people who loves to swim. But for those people who doesnt have the ability to swim. there are many shallow part that you can play and hang around.

Daranak falls can be reached either by Laguna or Rizal route, but for those who are coming from manila it is more easier by the rizal route, From manila go to crossing megamall (shaw blvd.) from there you can ride a jeepney straight to Tanay Market the fare is around 45 pesos (as of July16, 2005) from tanay market you can ask for a ride going to daranak.... During summer the ride are more frequent. During rainy season you can go on a special trip that will cost you around 160-200 pesos. But for those coming from southern part of manila you can ride a bus to sta cruz laguna, then catch a ride to siniloan. from there you can ride a jeep going to tanay....
